It is important for commincation majors to study design because not only with design follow a communication major wherever they wind up working, it is everywhere in life for everyone. For example every advertisement you see on the street, billboards, and TV is all design and all of it relates back to communications.
By having a good design you leave a better impression. By having a good impression you have a better chance of building a larger audience. Being informational and getting your message out there by design is difficult but if you accomplish it than people will remember.
It may sound typical but Vincent Van Gogh's painting of Starry Night is my favorite painting. There is something about this painting that is very peaceful and relaxing while obviously beautiful as well. Starry Night is a very well known piece of artwork and just by having that I think it is a good design.
I am excited to continue on with this class. I think the class will be very helpful to me in the long run even though it is not exactly the field I would like to go into. I have some experience so I hope this class wont be to challenging and I also keep several blogs myself and I look forward to keeping this one.
